Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Who makes your costumes? All of our costumes are handmade by us, completely from "scratch", with the exception of the "zombie packs", which are created from existing clothing that we hand distress and detail with textile paint and silicone. At very busy times, we sometimes hire local artists to assist us, and these people work directly under our supervision.
Q. Do you sell to individuals? Absolutely!
Q. What cleaning method do you recommend? The fabric costumes (including the zombies) can be hand washed or washed on the delicate cycle in a front-loading machine. The masks can be sprayed out with End-Bac or a similar fabric disinfectant.
Q. Do you take payments besides PayPal? Yes. E-mail or call us and we'll send you an invoice and instructions to pay by credit card, personal or business check, or money order. (A $50 penalty will be charged on any returned checks, as well as the amount of our bank fees.)
Q. Can I break up payments on a larger order? Yes, orders over $600 can be paid 50% at the time of ordering and the remaining 50% prior to shipping.
Q. Where do you get your ideas? Out of our crazy heads, although a few have been suggested by our customers. Please let us know if there's a costume you'd like to see, and we may add it to our lineup!
Q. Do you do custom work? We frequently do custom orders, so contact us if you have a design in mind, and we will be happy to discuss it with you...
Q. Do you make childrens' costumes? No, and we have no plans to do so. All of our costumes and props are designed for use by adults.
Q. You're based in New Orleans. What happens to my order if there's a hurricane? We moved here from Atlanta knowing that such a scenario could occur, and most likely will at some point. Our storage warehouse is in a very secure concrete and steel building which has never suffered interior damage. In the event of an evacuation, we will lose 2 or 3 days while we temporarily move our operations to Atlanta, where we also have ample workspace and many local connections.
